Getting your first job
Obtaining your licence is only part of the equation. Getting your first job can be one of the hardest parts of the whole process. With that said, provided you display the right attitude, there are some exciting opportunities available.
Getting a job requires persistence and effort. It is not good enough to send a resume and hope for the best. You need to apply and sell yourself. Of all our students, almost all have found a start in the industry and in the past 5 years, over 50% of our students have had jobs prior to completing their licence…..so it’s up to you.
In years of busy flight operations (such as fires and floods) we have employed students to take on roles such as crewman, re-fuelling and loader driving whilst they are training. This opportunity can give invaluable industry experience, contacts and can be a great lead into a flying career.
It is not fair or realistic for any school to guarantee you’ll find a job. However, if you work hard, we will do our best to guide you through the process of finding a starting position in the industry. Our company and pilots have extensive experience and contacts within the industry, thus we can offer ideal connections for an optimal start to a fulfilling career.
